Linda Bree is Literature Publisher at
Cambridge University Press, with a
commissioning remit across monographs,
reference and text books, and scholarly
editions, and across British, European and
world literature. Her publications include the
first full-length scholarly study of the
eighteenth-century writer Sarah Fielding; her
most recent project is a scholarly edition of
Jane Austen’s manuscripts, co-edited with
Janet Todd, which completes The Cambridge
Edition of the Works of Jane Austen. She will
discuss and advise on the possibilities and
opportunities in Humanities publishing today,
as seen from the perspective of one of the
world’s major academic publishing houses – and
the world’s oldest. |
