By invitation of the
Center for Writers & Translators and the
Department of Comparative Literature &
English, John Coetzee will attend and read at
an evening of celebrations of his work, prior
to his receiving an honorary degree at the
American University of Paris graduation
ceremony. Members of the AUP community –
students and faculty – will share their
responses to his work.
J. M.Coetzee is the
author of more than a dozen novels, of three
fictionalised volumes of autobiography, of
five books of collected essays, and of
numerous translations and reviews. He has won
the Booker Prize twice, for his novels Life
& Times of Michael K. and Disgrace,
and was awarded the Nobel prize for literature
in 2003. |
