María Nieblas

Dominique Mougel, Claudie Moy, Maria Nieblas et Edith Taïeb ont représenté The Center for Language Research and Teaching, le 31 mai 2007, à Saint Etienne, à un colloque organisé conjointement par l'Université Jean Monnet de Saint Etienne et la Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de Paris.  Le titre du colloque était : L'évaluation des productions complexes en FLE (Français langue étrangère) et FLS (Français langue seconde) dans l'enseignement supérieur.

Maria Nieblas arrived at AUP in the beginning of the 1990s, to teach in the Summer Program and the French Immersion Program. After working with different organizations, namely in the Planning and Education Department of UNESCO, the Japanese delegation of the OCDE, the “Cours d’Adultes de la Mairie de Paris” (ACMA), ESLSCA (where she received an “Outstanding Professor Award”), and the ECOLE DES MINES, she joined the French Department of AUP as a language teacher. She teaches all levels of language.

Her interest for language acquisition pushed her to study diverse languages such as English, Spanish, Italian, and German in high school and university. In addition – through curiosity – she initiated herself to other languages such as Chinese, Japanese, Hebrew, Swedish… She also collaborated in the elaboration of a language method… by phone!

While continuing her studies, Professor Nieblas also followed drama training at the Cours Simon, as well as other drama courses and workshops. She has also worked as a professional actress with different drama companies, in Paris and elsewhere. She is currently teaching a course on drama at AUP – “Acting in French” – in addition to her language courses. She has also done translations for diverse reviews and worked as an interpreter for a disc production.
