In this time of political,
social and economic upheaval and uncertainty, many current professionals
are seeking part-time study options that allow them to invest in their
futures via a master’s degree--without having to leave their jobs.
AUP has adapted the MA in
International Affairs curriculum to offer Paris-based professionals the
possibility of continuing their studies, while honoring their
professional commitments.

The two-year, part-time Master
of Arts in International Affairs (part-time MIN) is a rigorous, two-year
graduate program that provides students with: |
The opportunity to
earn an American Master's degree in France. |
A mix of practical and
theoretical knowledge of international affairs, conflict resolution and
civil society development.
A global network to
launch a career in the NGO sector or with an international
institution, national government or multinational
corporation. |

AUP emphasizes a
student-oriented, discussion-based education in a European setting with
small classes, programs tailored to the individual, a high international
profile, and a seasoned research faculty—all well-respected leaders in
their fields of expertise. The program balances intellectual and
theoretical mastery with hands-on, project-based learning—both of which
are essential to successful professional development. Professors
privilege the linguistic and cultural diversity of the AUP graduate
student community within the broader field of international education. |
AUP students
come from educational institutions around the world,
most with a BA degree (or equivalent) in
International Affairs or in a closely related field.
Students with professional experience in
international institutions, NGOs, or in government
are especially encouraged to apply. |
This
two-year program is composed of four semesters of
course work taught entirely in English at AUP with
an additional summer semester for completion and
defense of the required research project. |
Please note: Part-time students are not
eligible for a student visa or French Carte
de Séjour (check with your local embassy),
nor are they eligible for Financial Aid or
assistance with Housing from the University. |
