In addition to the above course list, in order to fulfill elective course requirements, students are also able to register in courses within the graduate programs in Global Communications, Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies, Public Policy, Law, and Cultural Translation.

 
 
 
 
 

 

To complete the MAIA degree students will complete a thesis preparing the way to future doctoral study (in the US or in Europe), or employment.

Thesis research will be based on fieldwork or an internship experience. The final dissertation will be presented to a jury of experts, including the student's faculty readers.

All graduate students in this program are required to maintain a 3.00 GPA. Courses in which a student has earned a grade of C- or below must be repeated to obtain credit. No more than two grades of C will be accepted for this Master's degree.
