Your son or daughter will need a bank account to subscribe to a monthly phone plan, take advantage of discounted student metro passes, pay for the first month’s rent and deposit, etc. To simplify life from day one in Paris, we recommend that students staying in France for more than one semester pre-open a French bank account.

AUP has established agreements with several local banks, all within walking distance of AUP facilities. Take advantage of this opportunity to wire funds ahead of time.

Confirmed applicants will receive e-mail correspondence from Student Affairs indicating all necessary information to pre-open a bank account; it is VERY important that each incoming student follows these instructions in a careful and timely manner.
