Working with your
fellow students (peer tutoring) can be an exceptionally
positive experience, whether within cooperative study groups
or one-on-one. ARC tutoring services currently include the
Writing Lab
tutors (AUP's strongest student writers), the
ARC-Link
tutors (trained to assist you with specific, challenging
courses) and the Tech Tutors (helping you out in the ARC
research room and digital media corner). Check out the
tutors' photo blog if you haven't met them yet!

The Writing Lab
tutors will guide you through your academic writing
requirements, and offer assistance with term papers and
style questions. Students may make reservations for
individual consultations with a Writing Lab tutor or with
Prof. Mott, by stopping in the ARC office. Conferences are
highly interactive and your appointment will generally last
30 minutes. |

ARC-Link tutors
(course-specific tutors) are chosen by the faculty at the
beginning of each semester, and they will appear in selected
classes to introduce themselves. They have been selected on
the basis of having achieved success in the courses with
which they will be assisting. You may attend study groups
with these tutors or request individual help. Tutors’ names
and study group times will be posted on the door of the ARC
Modular Classroom. |
