We ask that LACEA participants who are making PowerPoint presentations bring them to the conference on a USB key (also known as a USB memory or flash drive).

We strongly urge participants to bring a back-up copy on CD/DVD, if possible, or to email their presentations to a webmail address (such as a Yahoo!, Hotmail, GMail or institutional account), where it can be retrieved from the internet, if necessary.

LACEA conference and meeting rooms will be equipped with Windows XP machines. Mac users should test their PowerPoint presentations in a Windows environment prior to the conference; some PowerPoint formatting options have been known to fail when documents are transported across platforms.
