The International Business Administration program introduces students to organizational behavior, economic theory and quantitative methods, as well as the basic functional areas of business: finance, law, marketing, operations management, and human resources management. Students are required to learn fundamental accounting, statistics, and computer applications necessary for the solution of business problems.

The senior year of the program consolidates students’ earlier study by focusing upon general management and corporate strategy through the Business Policy class. It uses case studies as a vehicle for the identification of business problems and the formulation of appropriate courses of action for their solution.

The theoretical knowledge and the wide variety of practical skills acquired in gaining their BA degree from The American University of Paris prepare graduates in International Business Administration for responsible positions in the modern business world and, if they so choose, entry into graduate school.

The Bachelor of Science degree in Applied International Finance is designed to enable students to become competent professionals in the field of International Finance. The combination of courses in this program provides the specific skills, modes of analysis and institutional background useful to work both in the finance areas of international profit-making business organizations and for profit centers of finance firms dealing with multinational financial products. The requirement of six credit hours of internships in international organizations, commercial corporations, research institutes, and news media offers a working experience for the student, as well as the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to daily work problems.

Students who successfully complete this course of study are well prepared for work in the field or for further specialization in the more advanced areas of the subject.
