Master of Arts in Global Communications

 

The Master of Arts in Global Communications is built upon the strengths of AUP's Global Communications undergraduate program—characterized by dynamic interdisciplinary, hands-on workshops, theoretical richness, cross-cultural pedagogies—and provides similar flexibility and range to students seeking to establish careers in a wide variety of international communications fields.

 

 

Master of Arts in International Affairs, Conflict Resolution and Civil Society Development

 

Offered in partnership with the Institut Catholique de Paris, the program has a flexible curriculum balancing traditional theoretical courses in international affairs, international law, the international system, and area studies with hands-on, intense short courses taught by practitioners and specialists in conflict management, institutional design, humanitarian and aid organizations, etc.

 

 

Master of Arts in Middle East and Islamic Studies

 

Firmly based on a rigorous core of lectures and complemented by a variety of specialized discipline-based seminars, this program will appeal to individuals who feel that a broad as well as an in depth education in the history, politics, sociology, religion and culture of the Middle East and the Islamic world is indispensable to their decision-making.

 

 

Master of Arts in Middle East & Islamic Studies and International Affairs

 

The program is taught over two years and includes a set of core courses from both disciplines and elective courses on specific countries and languages, conflict resolution and civil society development issues. The program builds on theoretical knowledge of politics and international affairs, while providing a range of regional specialization in the Middle East and other Islamic countries as well as the US and Europe.

 

 

Master of Arts in Public Policy and International Affairs

 

A dynamic initiative that allows students to benefit from the best of both disciplines — a solid grounding in international relations theory and practice, as well as the analytical tools for policy-making. The program is taught over two years and includes a set of core courses from both disciplines and elective courses on different policy areas, conflict resolution and civil society development issues.

 

 

Master of Public Administration in Strategic Public Policy

 

The program provides an education to produce efficient, viable and sustainable public policy solutions for the most critical emerging problems of our times. The program offers novel areas of concentration: Energy Policy, Migration and Integration Policy and Development Finance Policy.  It has been designed, and is delivered in collaboration with faculty from the New York University Robert Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
