The American University of
Paris welcomes all independent visitors, study abroad students seeking
immersion in French language, culture, and history, and students from
other institutions seeking to advance toward their degrees elsewhere while
enjoying a special semester or year in Paris.
Visiting students at AUP—who
make up about 10% of the student body—are encouraged to choose from the
broad array of courses offered each semester or to advance toward degree
requirements on their own campus by taking general education courses,
courses equivalent to those in their major, and electives. We recommend
that all visiting students seek pre-approval of their course selection
once they have chosen the courses they are interested in.
