Applicants must have earned a minimum of 64 credits (60
credits for those students who matriculated prior to Fall 09)
and be first semester, second semester juniors, or first
semester seniors at the time of departure. |

Students who entered AUP with advanced standing credits (French
BAC, IB, A levels, etc.)
must spend three semesters on the AUP campus before they can
go abroad. |
|
|
|
|
|
Students must have successfully completed at least EN
110 Advanced Principles of Academic Writing (‘C’ or above) at
the time of departure. |
|
|
|
|
|
Students must have a GPA of 3.0 at the time of application. |
|
|
|
|
|
There is a nomination process in place.
Applicants should begin the application process for these
programs through AUP (see AUP contacts below) by established
deadlines. For schools in the U.S.A and NYU Global sites, you
must contact the
Academic Advising Coordinator by mid-November for
study abroad the following fall semester and by end January
for the following spring semester. For Cape Town, please

Course selection must be pre-approved by the Registrar,
Department Chairs and the Academic Advising Coordinator before
the application can be submitted. |

|
|
|
Students participating in approved AUP study abroad programs
pay AUP tuition and those receiving financial aid will retain
it. |
|
|
|
|
|
Before leaving, students must have paid any outstanding past
due balance to the AUP Bursar. Failure to do so will result in
the student’s application being withdrawn. |
|
|
|
|
|
Up to 36 credits from AUP partner schools may be transferred
back. |
|
|
|
|
|
Students who matriculated prior to F09 may not surpass a total
of 75 semester credit hours; students who matriculated in F09
or after may not surpass a total of 64 credit hours. |
|
|
|
|
|
50% of upper-level core courses (300-400 level) for one’s
major must be completed on the AUP campus. |
|
|
|
|
|
All students must complete their last 16 credits (15 credits
for those students who matriculated prior to F09) on the AUP
campus. |
