As a service to our visiting Summer Term students, AUP offers the following housing options:

 

 

The French House

 

Located in the Marais district of Paris, the “French House” is a spacious apartment which AUP rents for its students. The bedrooms are equipped for double occupancy and the sunny living room, dining room, kitchen, and bathroom are communal. Bed linens are provided, but towels are not. A Resident Assistant lives on site. Students are responsible for their own laundry, cooking, and cleaning. Overnight guests and pets are not allowed. There is no curfew.

 
Cost per student: €1,500 for the seven-week program, including utilities and insurance.  For female students only.
 
 
 

Home Stays

 

Home stays offer a wonderful opportunity to students who wish to reinforce their language skills and further explore the French way of life. The AUP Housing Office will place students in homes located in Paris or the immediate suburbs with easy travel to the University. All homestay hosts have been interviewed by our staff. There is no curfew. Landlords generally do not permit visitors or overnight guests. Accommodations include: a private room, bed linens, all utilities except telephone, access to kitchen and bathroom. Price includes extra insurance.

FIAP

 

The Foyer International d'Accueil de Paris (FIAP) Jean Monnet is located between the Place d'Italie and the Place Denfert Rochereau. The FIAP is a modern student residence that welcomes groups of all ages from more than 100 countries. The neighborhood is residential and very quiet at night. All FIAP rooms are doubles and are equipped with a small private shower, telephone and a desk and wardrobe per occupant. Linens are provided. Towels are changed every other day and sheets once a week. Other facilities include a café and large garden terrace, a TV lounge, self-service cafeteria, laundry facilities and 24-hour security. The FIAP closes its doors from 2:00 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. No pets and no overnight guests are allowed.

 
Summer Term cost per student:  2,500€ for the seven-week program.  This price includes double room, half board (breakfast and lunch or dinner), and insurance.
 
 
 
 
 
 

Students are welcome to organize their own housing in Paris during their stay. The University will be pleased to provide Web sites that can help them in their search.

 
 
 

Reservation / Cancellation Deadlines

 

 

  Reservations for accommodations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis once students are registered.

 

  Reservations are not final until payment has been received.

 

  IMPORTANT: Rooms are available only for the specified dates of your program. If you plan to arrive early or leave after the end of your program, you must make your own arrangements. An exception can sometimes be made for homestays, but an additional fee will be charged.

 

  No refunds can be given for housing after the cancellation dates:

Deadline for the 7–week session: April 30

Deadline for French Immersion I: April 30

Deadline for French Immersion II: May 23

 

  The Housing Office services are available to registered summer students only.

 

  AUP cannot house visiting students in independent rooms, studios or apartments.
