Currently-enrolled AUP students must
complete the Summer Registration Form for AUP Students that
is available at the Admissions Office, Registrar’s Office,
Student Advising Center, and Grenelle Reception Desk. The
course selection must be approved and signed by the
student’s advisor. Payment of the €350 deposit per session
will be processed by the Bursar’s office before the
Registrar can confirm registration. Summer Registration will
begin in March 2008. AUP students may register for summer
classes through the second day of each summer drop/add
period.

AUP will begin accepting Summer
2008 Visiting Student Applications on January 2, 2008.
Registration will begin in early March.
The following are considered Visiting Students when
applying to AUP Summer Programs:
anyone who does not attend The American University of Paris as a
full-time, degree-seeking student,
applicants to become full-time students at The American University of
Paris, whether they have already been accepted or not,
returning special part-time AUP students (SPPT). |

Visiting Students must complete the Visiting Student
Application Form that is included at the end of the Summer Catalog or
that can be printed
from this Web site. To ensure your enrollment in a Session
course of your choice, please list alternate courses.

Applicants must submit official transcripts from their home institutions
with their applications. An applicant not currently attending a college or
university should submit a copy of his/her diploma, certificate(s) or an
official transcript directly to AUP. |

|
|
Students who are not native speakers of English
must present official TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
results of a minimum of 101 on the internet-based test (iBT) along with
their applications. TOEFL scores are mandatory prerequisites for those
who wish to enroll in any English (EN) or Communications (CM) course.
Consult the TOEFL Web site,

for further information about this test.
Non-native English speakers who currently attend an
English language college or university and who have not taken the TOEFL
must have successfully completed the English language and/or English
literature classes required by their home institutions.

N.B. Non-native English-speaking students who
wish to apply to The American University of Paris as regular
full-time students must contact the
Admissions Office to take the
University’s English placement test. This test is administered at no
cost. |

Full payment in euros must accompany the
application. Payment will be processed before the student’s course
selection can be confirmed. This applies to returning AUP Students as
well as Visitors.

Students can take one or two courses per
Summer Term for a maximum of four courses per summer. French
Immersion and regular summer term courses may not be taken
concurrently. To facilitate the transfer of AUP credits,
Visiting Students should have their home institutions
pre-approve their course selections.
To ensure your enrollment in a course of
your choice, please list alternate courses. Your first choice
may be filled, or cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. |

* Courses may fill
early or be cancelled due to low enrollment. AUP reserves the right
to cancel a course if enrollment is insufficient. Students will be
informed by the cancellation/refund deadlines if a course they have
chosen has been cancelled.
* To insure maximum
course availability, applications are best submitted before May 14
for Summer and Immersion I, June 18 for Summer and Immersion II and
Fast Tracks. AUP will continue to accept applications on a space
available basis until one week prior to the beginning of classes of
each Session, Immersion and Fast Track course.
