Since French law requires that all students studying in
France have adequate health insurance coverage, all students at AUP are
automatically enrolled in the
AUP
health insurance plan at the beginning of
each semester. Only those students that submit a private health
insurance plan which has been approved by the Bursar's Office, or proof
of French or European social security coverage, may be exempted from the
AUP plan. |
To be exempted, the student must provide one of
the following to the Bursar's Office at the start of the semester: |
A valid French Carte de Sécurité Sociale for qualifying French
residents. Please note that the University is not affiliated with the
French Sécurité Sociale; |
A completed E111 or E128 form (available to residents of
European Union countries); |
A certified proof of private comprehensive health insurance coverage
valid in France that includes medical coverage equivalent to AUP's
Student Health Care Plan. A
signed Health Insurance Certificate by
the representative of the health insurance provider and the Financially
Responsible Person should be submitted to the Bursar’s office.
The appropriate documents
must be submitted to the Bursar prior to Registration; no
exceptions will be made. Documents received after this date
will not be accepted and students will be charged full price
for health insurance.
Health insurance is
automatically renewed from semester to semester unless a
valid exemption is provided at the beginning of the
semester.
Please read the
health
insurance documentation carefully or
call the Bursar's
Office for more information. |
