Whether it is to explore personal interests, pursue a
second Bachelor’s degree, or resume an interrupted
course of study, The American University of Paris offers
the possibility of attending classes in over 100
undergraduate courses on a space-available basis.

Students may register for up to 11 credit hours per
semester (maximum three courses). Students taking
courses for credit are expected to attend class
regularly, complete all assigned reading and written
work, and take examinations. Grades will be
reflected on University issued transcripts.
Tuition: € 770,00 per credit-hour.

Auditors may register for up to three courses per
semester. Auditors may complete course assignments
and take exams, but correcting their work is left to
the discretion of the individual professor.
Tuition: € 385,00 per credit-hour.
Please
note that the following courses are not
available to auditors:
- All language classes
- Computer science
- Lab Science or BA 350
- Private Piano Lessons (MU 100)
- Studio art classes
- Seminars
- All graduate level courses
- Video Production (CM 329), Advanced Video
Production (CM 428) or any other production based FM
or IC courses such as Directing Fiction or Planned
Editing.

|
All students applying for
part-time studies must have successfully completed
secondary education and have fulfilled any
pre-requisites for the courses they choose at AUP.
Students must provide an official
transcript from the academic institution most recently
attended.
Non-native English speakers who wish
to take courses for credit must submit either a TOEFL
score of at least 101 on the iBT, or the equivalent. |

In order to obtain a
list of courses available to part-time
students, please contact the
Paris admissions
office.
Complete both the
registration form and course request form,
and mail both forms to the Paris Admissions
Office along with your official transcript
and official TOEFL scores (as appropriate).
Please inform the
Admissions Office if the transcript will be
sent directly from your school.
Payment: Payment
by euro check or credit card will be
processed before enrollment is confirmed. |

Registration »
Students may enroll on a
first-come, first-served basis and upon
presentation of photo-identification (ID card,
passport). Students will choose from a list of
available courses established by the Registrar
that day at 15:30. Should prerequisites be
required to take a certain course, the student
must have their official transcripts available
for review.

The American University of
Paris is an American institution of higher

accredited by the Middle
States Association of Colleges and Schools,
therefore credit hours may be transferred to
other institutions in the US system.
The university offers
students a wide range of credit-bearing
courses leading to a Bachelor of
Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree.

|

Students taking courses for
credit may use their ID cards for access and
borrowing privileges at The American University
Library at 7 & 9 rue Montessuy, 75007, Paris.
Auditors have a special ID card that permits library
access on a non-borrowing basis. |

Textbooks |
|
| |
|
Required textbooks may be
purchased, with proof of registration from the
University Bookstore at 10 bis rue Amélie, 75007
Paris. Textbooks may be purchased with Euros or with
a Euro check. You may also pay with Visa or American
Express credit cards. |

Building access |
|
| |
|
A university ID card will be
issued to part-time students at Registration or may
be picked up in the Registrar’s Office after
registration upon presentation of a passport size
photo. This student card is needed for entrance into
the university buildings. |

Medical Insurance |
|
| |
|
Part-time students can get
medical insurance through AUP. |
|
|

| |
|
Please note:
Part-time students are not eligible for a student visa or
French Carte de Séjour (check with your local embassy)
nor are they eligible for Financial Aid from the University. |
