Listed below are the fees covering tuition, health insurance, housing insurance, Orientation, books, and a basic living allowance estimate. We have also provided estimated monthly living costs reflecting the two most common living arrangements our new students use.  Be sure to read the notes at the end of this entry; they contain important information.

III -  DISCRETIONARY EXPENSES

Students' personal expenses, (the movies, a Café or Bistro, nightclub, laundry, etc) of course will vary, but we suggest budgeting an additional €200 - 250 per month for these extras.

 

 

NOTES

1 Tuition and fees:

 

Tuition and fees reflect 2008-2009 levels. Fees for the 2009-2010 academic year will be set during spring 2009.

 

All tuition and fees must be paid in Euros. Complete details will be sent with the first invoice.

 

Tuition covers five courses per semester. Credits taken beyond the five courses will be charged at the part-time tuition rate.

 

Part-time tuition 2008-2009 is €770 per credit. The audit fee is €385 per credit.

 

The university provides a program of scholarships and student loans to students of all nationalities. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of both a student's financial circumstance and academic qualifications. Please contact your Admissions Counselor for information about how to apply for student loans and whether you are eligible for an academic scholarship. Children of AUP alumni automatically receive the Alumni Legacy Scholarship.

 

 

 

2 Basic living expenses are calculated for the Independent Room option on the lower rent scale, including an additional one-month refundable security deposit, plus monthly expenses: utilities, phone, Métro, and groceries/meals at home.
