The recruiting process for an internship is often
similar to that of a job, requiring a formal
application (e.g. cover letter and resume) and
selection interview. In some sectors competition may
be fierce, so plan ahead and allow plenty of time
for the search. A strong level of French will
greatly enhance your chances of finding a desirable
internship in France. Make early contact with the
Career Development Office to obtain assistance. The
AUP Career and Internship Offices do not place
students in internships, but support them in
establishing the first contact to employers. An
internship search should be proactive and draw from
all available resources: regular perusal of offers
posted at AUP, research on potential employers, and
networking with professional contacts obtained
through acquaintances and relevant events. Each
November, AUP organizes the annual International
Careers Day, where professionals discuss their
careers and offer advice. See
