Venturing beyond the classroom

While an AUP education may begin in the classroom, it certainly does not end there. AUP's Cultural Program invites members of the university community to take full advantage of our unique location in Paris, while also exploring firsthand historic and cultural sites throughout Europe and beyond. The program's activities essentially fall under one of the following categories:

Study Trips and Cultural Excursions

AUP professors design a variety of study trips each semester to ensure that students discover in person what they are reading about in class. Destinations this semester include Rome, London, Prague and Vienna. While not associated with a particular course, one- or two-day cultural excursions make it fun and easy to travel to nearby destinations such as Champagne and Giverny.

French Culture Series

In partnership with AUP’s brand new French Club, the Cultural Program offers a series of events to celebrate French culture this semester.

Music Series

Pop rock, classical music, operas and holiday tunes are on the program this semester for music lovers.

Sports Series

Enjoy a free picnic lunch, attend a live NBA basketball game at Bercy, try your hand at paintball or join a poker tournament this semester as part of the sports series.
