Welcome to the Department of Student Affairs!
Are you a new or returning student? Perhaps you
are a concerned parent. Or maybe you are just
curious about student activities at AUP. Whatever
the case, the entire Student Life team would like
to welcome you to AUP.
Along with the Student Government Association (SGA)
and Student Publications (ASM), the Department of
Student Affairs is at the heart of student life at
AUP. Beginning with Orientation and continuing
throughout university and beyond, the department
offers programs and services that facilitate
student welfare, development and growth,
particularly in five key areas: |

The Career Development Office contributes to
AUP undergraduate and graduate students'
successful transition to professional life
by providing high quality and comprehensive
career development services. These include
assistance in preparing job search
documents, graduate school applications, and
recruitment interviews. The office also
makes available resources appropriate to
career exploration, maintains high quality
relationships with employers, and organizes
career and graduate-school related events. |

The Counseling Division of Student Affairs
offers counseling, crisis intervention,
academic accommodation, outreach and
referral services to promote students’
personal and intellectual growth, social
responsibility, and multicultural competence
and curiosity. |

The Cultural Program, one of the
university’s unique assets, works closely
with faculty to offer students a selection
of comprehensive study trips. This office
also features a regularly updated program of
cultural excursions, guided tours and
tastings, museum visits, theater and opera
tickets and many other happenings in Paris
and further afield. |

The Housing Office strives to support the
multi-cultural and educational mission of
the institution by providing access to
clean, safe and affordable accommodations
for our students within a reasonable
distance from the University. Throughout the
academic year, staff assists students with
housing-related problems while encouraging
responsibility and accountability. |

AUP’s Sports Program offers a wide selection
of physical activities to students, whose
interest range from simply practicing a
hobby to competing on a university team.
Sports Program activities balance body and
mind to provide healthy alternatives that
fit into the busy academic calendar. |
