Regardless of whether or not you have already made housing arrangements in Paris for the coming semester, orientation is mandatory for all new students because it is the only opportunity you will have, before the hectic pace of classes begins, to obtain the information you need to feel comfortable in your new academic surroundings.

If you cannot arrive on the designated check-in day, please contact your counselor immediately, who will be able to answer any questions or concerns you might have, or contact the AUP Admissions Office. Arriving late for Orientation will seriously compromise your adjustment to the University and to Paris. Additionally, there may be negative consequences concerning your registration for classes.

As you probably already know, you are about to embark upon an adventure of intellectual and personal growth not found in any other university in the world.

Participation in our orientation program is how your AUP journey begins.  It is the opportunity to meet other new students who will be joining you for the next few years and with whom you will establish friendships that may last a lifetime.

Orientation is held the week before classes begin and consists of events that will make your transition to AUP and Paris a smooth and enjoyable one.

At orientation, AUP students are introduced not only to the University, but also to life in a foreign country and to academics in a multicultural environment.
