If you work
for a company with a Matching Gifts program, it
is possible to dramatically increase the
impact of your gift. In some cases, a spouse’s
company will also match a gift. The ratio of the
match varies from company to company, ranging from
1:1 to 3:1.
Both your
gift and the matching gift will count toward your
overall giving level for donor recognition.
Forms are
usually available from your human resources or
personnel department. Complete your portion of the
form and send it to AUP’s
Office of University Outreach
and Advancement, either
with your gift or after the gift has been sent. AUP
will complete its portion of the form—verifying the
receipt of your gift—and send it back to the
company, which will then send AUP a check.
