When and
where is the AUP graduation
ceremony? |
|
|
|
This year’s
Graduation will be on Thursday, May
22, 2008. The ceremony will be held at
the Théâtre Marigny, at the Rond
Point des Champs Elysées, Paris
VIIIe.
Seniors must arrive at the theater
at 8:45 sharp in order to line up!
This is imperative. The
ceremony will begin at 10 o’clock.
Guests will be admitted at 9:30. |

What do I
need to do to get all my graduation
materials? |
|
|
|
You need to present your ID in the
Bookstore. They will check you off
on a roster and give you all that
you need. Caps, gowns, 10
announcements and 2 tickets to the
ceremony are free and can be picked
up starting April 21st during
regular bookstore hours. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
What about
extra tickets for the graduation
ceremony? |
|
|
|
Up to two additional tickets can be
purchased for 35€ each at the
bookstore beginning April 21st.
Then, as of April 28th, another two
additional tickets may be purchased
for 35 euros on a first come, first
served basis. Seating at the Théâtre Marigny is
very limited this year, so to avoid
negative surprises, get your tickets
advance. |

How long is
the commencement ceremony? |
|
|
|
The commencement ceremony will last
approximately two and a half hours
and is followed by a reception in
the lobby of the theatre. |
|

What kind of
awards are given out at Graduation? |
|
|
|
The Board of Trustees Valedictorian
Award for Outstanding Scholastic
Achievement, the Board of Trustees
Award for Distinguished Teaching,
the Sin-ming Shaw Award, and the
Student Government Association and
the Graduate Student Council Service Awards. |

Where are the
graduation dinner and party? |
|
|
|
This year’s
gala will be held at the
Salons France
Amériques on Thursday the 22nd
of May.
Tickets will be
sold from April 18-May 18 and can be
purchased at the Cultural Programs
office (G 22) with cash, check or
card. Dinner tickets are 60 euros
for graduating students and 100
euros for non graduating students
(only 230 places available). Tickets
will also be available from the SGA
Office (cash and check only).
Tickets will be for sale on a first
come first served basis. If you do
not have a ticket by May 18, you
will not be able attend the dinner –
no exceptions will be made.
Party tickets
are 50 euros (only 500 places are
available). Graduating students
attend the party for free. There
will be an open bar all night long
including champagne. The attire is
formal. If you have any questions
