policies of universities
This session would focus on policies instituted by
universities to effectively engage with firms, while
at the same time sustaining their academic mission.
The session would explore the measures introduced by
different university systems around world and indicate
how university ownership, its proposed mission, the
degree of autonomy, the creation of a technology
licensing office, the importance given to research,
the incentives offered to researchers, and other
factors affect the emergence and success of university
industry linkages.
