Full academic papers


A full academic paper should describe novel constructionist approaches, evaluation or analysis methods, tools, implementations and techniques, educational research findings, interpretations, explanations or empirical evaluations.


The full paper should not exceed 1 A4 page for the Book of Abstracts plus 10 A4 pages of text including illustrations.


A full paper should contain:


• The title of the paper
• The name and affiliation of all authors

• An abstract of 500 words
• Keywords
• The full text of the paper up to 10 pages
• References


Short informative papers


A short informative paper will present a constructionist case study, a school project, report, a success story from school or outside school or a policy paper or a national perspective.
 

The full paper should not exceed 1 A4 page for the Book of Abstracts plus 6 A4 pages of text including illustrations.
 

A short paper should contain:


• The title of the paper
• The name and affiliation of all authors
• An abstract of 500 words
• Keywords
• The full text of the paper up to 6 pages
• References


Workshops


Workshops organizers will present innovative projects linked to the conference themes in short active classroom sessions. Workshops will be held the last morning of the conference, Friday the 20th of August from 9-12.
 

Workshop proposal should include:


• The title of the workshop
• The name and affiliation of the authors or contributors
• An extended description of up to 500 words
• A short note on who should attend and outcomes
• Keywords

Organization, file format and submission of papers


Format


• All paper submissions must be in Rich Text Format (RTF) format.


• You can compress the RTF-file in a ZIP-file.


• Acrobat (PDF) format documents are not acceptable.


• The name of the RTF file containing the abstract and paper should be the first author’s last name, e.g. Clayson.rtf
 

 

Abstracts


Please write an extended abstract of up to 500 words. Abstracts will be collected and printed in a Book of Abstracts that will be available to participants before arrival. The completed papers will be available to participants on their arrival at the conference.
 

 

Keywords
 

Write up to 6 keywords and phrases.
 

 

Graphics and illustrations


Graphic and illustrations in the text should be in JPEG formats.


References
 

References in the text should be cited as follows: one or two authors – Papert (1990) or (Papert, 1993) or Hoyles and Noss (2006) etc. Three or more authors – Harvey et al (2005) or (Harvey et al., 2005). Papers by the same author(s) in the same year should be distinguished by the letter a, b, etc. References should be listed at the end of the paper giving the year of publication, title of paper, journal titles in full, volume number and first and last page numbers. References to books should include their edition, editor(s), publisher and place of publication. Names of journals must be given in full, without abbreviations. Please adhere as closely as possible to the following format in the list of references:
