Core Curriculum Requirements


Major Requirements (25 credits)

Take all 7 of the following courses:


Electives (20 credits)

Take 5 courses from the list below. The 5 chosen courses must constitute a coherent curricular pathway which must be approved by the student's advisor.

Any special topics class in another field which relates to the environment subject to the approval of the chair of the CSMS department (for example Disaster Management and Environmental Law).
Any additional math (MA) courses above MA1020. Any additional science (SC) courses.

Departmental Honors

Honors in the major will be awarded to students who achieve a 3.5 GPA or higher in the 7 core courses including the senior project which becomes compulsory in this case. Students who do both the senior project and a Sustainable Development Practicum may count the latter as an elective.
