The department of Comparative Literature and Creative Writing invites you to a discussion with Visiting Professor Amanda Dennis. 

Amanda Dennis received her MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop, where she won a Whited Fellowship for a promising first novel manuscript. This novel, The Trace, is currently under consideration for publication. She holds a PhD in literature and philosophy from Berkeley, a Gates Scholarship, and her writing has appeared in Guernica, the Los Angeles Review of Books, and in academic journals. 

She is fiction editor of the literary magazine, Paris Lit Up, and is working on her second novel, about a disastrous utopian project in an island community cut off from society
