AUP Admissions Office hosts successful events
May 7, 2015
Admitted Student Reception
The Admitted Student Reception took place on April 3, 2015 and featured a day full of activities designed for newly admitted students and their families. As opposed to the old model called “Open House,” with the Admitted Student Reception, the Admissions Office wanted to create a more interactive, fun and engaging event. Admitted students and parents indulged in a lunch with current students at the new AMEX Cafe, enjoyed a campus tour with a stop-off for photos at the Eiffel Tower and participated in various information sessions and a reception with President Celeste Schenk. During this successful one-day event, the Admissions Office welcomed over 70 students and parents on the AUP Campus.
From April 23 to 24, the Admissions Office invited 17 high-school counselors from 7 different countries to a counselor event at AUP. The two-day event was designed to give the counselors a better sense of what type of students would thrive in AUP’s diverse classrooms and fit right in in the international setting in Paris. Besides apartment visits, sit-downs with professors and admissions staff and a detailed campus tour, the counselors were able to talk to current students and representatives of student affairs to gain a better understanding of student life at AUP. All in all, the event was a true success for the Admissions Office, the university and the individual high-school counselors.
