AUP Welcomes Kent State University Study Abroad Group

June 5, 2015

In May, International Business Administration Professor Gail Hamilton and a team of AUP staff and faculty members welcomed a study abroad group from Kent State University. Dr. Michael Mayo, Director of the Global Management Center and Dr. Shawn Rohlin, Assistant Professor of Economics, accompanied by 20 undergraduate and graduate business students from Kent State, participated in sessions at the signature Combes building and enjoyed lunch in the new AMEX.

Gail Hamilton lead a field retail exercise, Professor Alice Craven followed with a session on semiotic analysis for marketing and branding, and ITS staff member Emy Ritt contributed a presentation on the Cleveland 2014 and Paris 2018 Gay Games, for which she is a volunteer and board member.  And the world is very small:  just before the start of the program, the group discovered that Dr. Rohlin had performed the economic impact study for the Cleveland 2014 Gay Games organization.  Any students, staff or faculty members interested in volunteering for the Paris Gay Games or participating in a Paris-based economic impact study can contact Gail Hamilton at or Emy Ritt at
