Office 365 is on its way to AUP

Information Technology Services (ITS) is proud to announce the launch of the AUP Office 365 cloud project with the key aim of improving the use of technology through a variety of online services and integration at AUP. The Office 365 platform is a new name for the Office applications that you already know, with additional features that enable you to access your documents and use Office from virtually anywhere, anytime. Additionally, Office 365 offers a great range of new features that will help you to enhance your productivity, collaboration and sharing.
The ITS department is always looking for ways to improve the technology that is available to the AUP campus community members. Our mission is to make sure that the highest level of technology services is available to support the learning, teaching, research and administration activities of the University. With that in mind, we began with evaluating the value and feasibility of Office 365 in October 2015, and submitted a business case to the AUP Leadership Team for approval. the project has been approved by President Schenck and the AUP Leadership Team.
We are excited to announce that after months of effort the Office 365 platform is now available online for the AUP community members. Although the platform is ready to use for most applications, some features such as email and calendar will be available later during the project. Information Technology Services (ITS) will be rolling out email and calendar in a phased approach. The entire campus — faculty, staff and students — will be moved to Office 365 for email and calendar by Fall 2016. Going forward, we have prepared an Office 365 project website to provide information about the project’s progress and to encourage the AUP community members to get started with Office 365 rich features through information and resources such as: video tutorials, FAQs, and more…
