Incoming Transfer Students

Let us lead the way

Your previous experience as a college student has prepared you for life on your own. But when you first arrive at AUP, we want to make the transition to Paris as smooth as possible by taking care of your housing needs. Life in a foreign country is a new and exciting challenge for you – let us lead the way.

In order to facilitate your new life as an independent adult in a foreign city, the University requires all new undergraduates to arrange housing with us. By putting your housing needs into the hands of our trusted partners, BlueStripe (formerly known as Comforts of Home), you’ll make your transition that much easier. BlueStripe will take care of your electricity contract, Internet connection, and heating bill. You’ll also have the benefit of knowing your address, the names and contact information of your roommates, and your daily route to AUP approximately two weeks before you arrive on campus. Transfer students are housed with other upper-level students from all over the world.

Housing options for new Transfer students are as follows: BlueStripe or Homestays.

Financial assistance

Incoming transfer students who opt for a BlueStripe apartment are eligible to apply for Paris’ best kept secret—a rent abatement from the French government (called the CAF) that lowers the cost of housing for many students. Please see the BlueStripe website for more information.
