IRIS Project

Bob Johnson's departure and Update on IRIS

Home>IRIS Project>

Dear Colleagues,

As some of you may have heard, Bob Johnson, our chief information officer, went out on a brief medical leave in March and, preferring not to return to work in Paris at the end of that leave, tendered his resignation on April 1 with immediate effect. We are all grateful for Bob’s service to AUP over the last two years and we wish him all the very best in the future.

In the meantime, work has continued on the IRIS projects, and I am immensely grateful for the commitment of Pierre-Yves Vasener and Kim Nguyen, as well as the many of you who are working on these projects in Finance, HR, Academic Affairs and Student Development.

I have recently spoken with our implementation partners at G7 (Unit 4 for Finance, Administration and HR), as well as the CEO of Anubavam (Creatrix/Student Information System).  We are currently evaluating the status of each of the projects and, while we are still working on the principle that we will go live with Unit4 at the end of this fiscal year (August), we now know that we must delay the first phase of Creatrix, which was expected to go live in June.

In the meantime, I am also working on appointing an interim CIO as quickly as possible and on shaping the profile of this position for the future in ways that will align with our longer-term strategic priorities, as well as provide leadership and support for these current, critically important projects and for ITS and AUP more broadly.

I will write again on this matter as soon as I have more news to share.

Very best,

Sonya
