Book Celebration: Prof Roy in Conversation with Prof Kinne and AUP senior Isabella Rao
Join us for a festive and informal evening as we celebrate Professor Rika Roy's new book, The Postcolonial Epic: From Melville to Walcott and Ghosh.
Roy will be in conversation with Professor Elizabeth Kinne and AUP senior Isabella Rao, as she talks about the influences that shaped The Postcolonial Epic - her experiences as a student in Mumbai and Paris, and her classes on antiquity, business and postcolonialism at AUP. She will also share stories about the challenges of writing – and being read – that face us all in the information economy.
Copies of the book will be available. Pizza and beverages will be served.
