Get Started for Students

Your AUP NetID is your unique university account and provides access to essential digital services such as the student portal, WIFI, mailbox, Blackboard, library resources, etc. Students typically have a NetID beginning with “a” followed by their student number. Every student also receives an AUP email account, which is used for official university communications and should be checked daily. Automatic forwarding to external email accounts is not permitted.

AUP provides campus-wide Wi-Fi for laptops, smartphones, and other devices. Students should connect exclusively to eduroam. Personal devices can be set up for eduroam by following the online instructions—even before arriving on campus.

MFA adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring both your password and a second form of authentication, such as a code or Microsoft Authenticator. To get started, have your computer and mobile phone nearby and click on the link below to know how to set up MFA and when to use it.

AUP provides campus-wide printing through PaperCut and the centralized AUPrint queue, with student printing quotas reloaded each semester after the drop/add period. Secure badge-based release allows users to send and collect print jobs at campus printers. Students can also print from personal devices using Web Print or Mobility Print, depending on device compatibility.

Blackboard is AUP’s online Learning Management System (LMS), providing access to course materials, assignments, quizzes, discussions, etc. It is accessible through any web browser, as well as a mobile app for iOS and Android. LinkedIn Learning is an online platform offering more than 26000 expert-led courses covering a wide range of technical and professional skills. AUP provides free access to current students. Users can access the platform with their AUP NetID account here.

AUP provides students, faculty, and staff with 1 TB of secure cloud storage through OneDrive as part of Microsoft 365. Files can be accessed, stored, and managed from any device with an internet connection, making it a convenient solution for personal and academic work.

The AUP Film Studio, located in Combes C-101, provides eligible users with professional equipment such as studio lights, strobes, backdrops, strobes, a prompter, etc. For creative projects during the academic term. The studio must be reserved in advance via this form. Additional equipment is available from the Multimedia Office upon request. The use of that equipment as well as of the Film Studio is subject to conditions (Terms of Use).
