Parent and Family Café Society

At the American University of Paris, family is never far – and the Family Café Society is how we keep it that way. Whether you're across the city or across an ocean, the Café Society connects parents and families to AUP's mission, to each other, and to the life your student is building in Paris. 

Members support AUP through an annual gift to the Family Fund, providing immediate, meaningful support for the initiatives that most directly enhance student success – including emergency assistance, student organizations, and leadership and career development. In return, the Café Society opens doors: to campus, to leadership, and to a global community of families who share your investment in and commitment to this special place.

Inaugural Membership Levels

Ami: €500+
Benefits at the Ami level may include: 

• Welcome gift 
• Café Society cocktail during Family Weekend

Patron: €1,500+
Benefits at the Patron level may additionally include: 

• Café Society pochette or blanket 
• Two tickets and priority access to Family Weekend events 
• Exclusive champagne toast overlooking Paris 
• Invitations to on-campus and virtual events, symposiums, and conferences 
• Campus Access Pass

Ambassadeur: €5,000+
Benefits at the Ambassadeur level may additionally include: 

• Exclusive semi-annual conversations with key AUP staff and leadership 
• VIP seating & Ambassadeur reception at Commencement 
• Private reception at the President's Office during Family Weekend 
• Invitations and access to Alumni Weekend events 
• Early access to naming opportunities under University Campaigns 
• A dedicated staff liaison on the Development & Alumni Relations team

Every gift matters, at every level. Gifts below €500 are always welcome and warmly acknowledged.

All members receive the AUP magazine and the monthly Family Compass e-newsletter, and an annual report on the impact of their giving.

Benefits vary by year and may be adapted to best serve our Café Society community.

Giving Your Way

The Family Fund is our recommended designation, as it goes toward emergency student assistance, student organizations, and other high-impact initiatives that most directly shape the student experience and success. If another university priority speaks to you more – such as scholarships, an academic center or endowed professorship, a capital project, or the university endowment – you are welcome to direct your gift there instead. Your membership level and Society benefits are based on your total annual gift, regardless of where it is designated.
