MSc in International Management, NGO & Mission Based Management Track

The NGO and Mission-Based Management Track of the MSc in International Management prepares you to work in non-governmental organizations and other mission-based organizations such as social enterprises. Such work not only requires core competencies that are relevant to businesses or corporations – such as in finance, strategy and operations – but it also requires special leadership and negotiation skills when interacting with communities and their stakeholders as well as special resource management and outcome reporting skills. The walls between the for-profit sector and the not-for-profit sector have become more permeable. NGO’s have adopted conventional management techniques to manage their performance and effectiveness, while social enterprises borrow frameworks and techniques from the NGO sector.

Our program provides traditional management skills and competencies, but also goes beyond that in order to meet particular needs that you may have when moving into an area in which you feel like you’re doing something meaningful, productive and good for the world around you.
