Study Abroad Partner Students

Federal loans: U.S. citizens and permanent residents who are enrolled as degree-seeking students at their home institution in the United States may also have access to federal loans. In order for these loans to be used for tuition and costs, you should approach your Financial Aid Office in order to set up a Consortium Agreement between your home institution and The American University of Paris.

Private loans: U.S. citizens and permanent residents who qualify may apply for a private Sallie Mae Loan for all legitimate educational and living expenses during their studies at AUP.

Scholarships: Any scholarships come from your home institution only.

Independent Study Abroad Students

Gap Year Visiting Students

Federal loans: Students who are not enrolled as degree-seeking at any institution are not eligible to borrow US federal loans, according to federal regulation.

Private loans: U.S. citizens and permanent residents who qualify may apply for a private Sallie Mae Loan for all legitimate educational and living expenses during their studies at AUP.

AUP Financial Aid: You may apply for Financial Awards from AUP, bearing in mind that priority is given to degree-seeking students.
