The Barbara Reno Senior Prize for Excellence in Filmmaking, which carries a monetary, is awarded to outstanding projects by senior film students. The prize comprises two awards: Best Film and Best Screenplay, and aims to celebrate the creative and critical work undertaken by the Film Studies program.
The applicants must be majoring in Film Studies and must have registered to and successfully completed the senior seminar, and are then invited to apply to the competition with their project and a short artist statement.
The submissions are evaluated by Film Studies professors with the addition of jury members selected from the AUP community.

Best short fiction film: Serena Leilani for, "Womb Worm."
