Summer Housing

If you are joining us for one of our summer courses at The American University of Paris, you can take advantage of the different summer housing options that the University has to offer. Use of the Housing Office’s services over the summer is not mandatory; however, please note that if you’re extending your stay into the fall semester you will be required to book housing through the university’s  first-year residency requirement.

Student apartments - shared and single rooms

AUP works closely with a third-party company, Comforts of Home, to house students together as apartment mates in one, two, and three bedroom apartments. Students can opt for a single-occupancy room or share a bedroom with a roommate, and share the common rooms in their apartment (bathroom, living room, and kitchen) with 1-5 other residents, depending on the size of the apartment. Apartments are fully furnished with bed linens, towels, and kitchen utensils. Prices are all-inclusive—they provide utilities, renter’s insurance, wifi, etc.—and no guarantor is required. Commuting time to AUP is 30 minutes or less, and all apartments are located within Paris city limits. You can find more details and register here.

Please note that this option is intended for university-aged students. Visitors and auditors over the age of 28 who would like to reserve student housing through AUP are encouraged to reserve a single room in a residence hall (see below.)

Address and roommate contact information will be distributed to students via Comforts of Home no later than two weeks prior to arrival.

Single rooms in student residence halls

AUP reserves single rooms in a student residence hall in Paris’ 15th arrondissement for the summer session. All rooms include a private bathroom en suite with access to a shared student kitchen.  Commuting time to AUP is approximately 25 minutes by bus.

Please note that the residence hall has a guest curfew, of 10p.m., after which guests must leave the building. They also require that residents keep all food items in the common kitchen and consume meals in the dining areas.

Exact residence location will be confirmed by the AUP Housing Office shortly after housing registration and payment.

Homestays

Very limited homestays may be available on a case-by-case basis, only for students enrolled in our French Immersion courses. Please contact us for more details at housing@aup.edu.
