Gilets Jaunes Demonstrations Update to Students

For those of you who have been following our security blog since the beginning of the Gilets Jaunes movement, you may have noticed that things have gone quiet of late. The Gilets Jaunes protests have in recent weeks been greatly reduced in scale. Combined with the typical French summer break and Paris’s current heatwave, this has meant that only small, sporadic protests have been taking place, if any have taken place at all.

Just as we have for the past few months, we will continue to monitor the situation over the summer and into the fall and will communicate about it via the security blog if we deem it necessary. As ever, the security of our students is paramount, and if the situation changes we will keep our community updated with the latest news.
