Inspired by the #METOO movement in early November and encouraged by the devoted clubs at AUP, the Gen*Sex Club, AUP4CONSENT, the Creative Writing Club, and the AUP SGA have come together to offer the student body a whole week to expose the unique issues women face in today’s society, empower individuals to work towards social change, and inspire action!

Please join us on Tuesday 20th March for a viewing of The Pearl of Africa, a documentary film that focuses on the life of Cleopatra Kambugu, a Ugandan born woman who decide to live openly as a trans woman despite hostility towards same-sex relations in the country.

The screening will be followed by an open discussion hosted by the Inspire Africa club, and the Gen*Sex club.
