The Center for Writers & Translators is delighted to present its first ever salon. Join us as Lisa Davidson, Amanda Dennis, Spencer Matheson, Aaron Peck and Aysegul Savas present new and forthcoming work. Readings will be followed by a conversation with associate director Daniel Medin about their fiction, criticism and translations — and an aperitif.

  • Amanda Dennis teaches creative writing and comparative literature and English at The American University of Paris. Her debut novel, The Trace, is currently on submission, and her most recent writing has appeared in The Los Angeles Review of Books and Guernica
  • Spencer Matheson has published non-fiction in Music & Literature, and fiction in Conjunctions. He teaches at the École Normale Supérieure.
  • Aaron Peck is the author of The Bewilderments of Bernard Willis. His work has recently appeared in the New York Review Daily, The White Review, frieze magazine, and The Happy Reader
  • Aysegul Savas’s first novel, Walking on the Ceiling, will be published in April 2019 by Riverhead Books. Her essays have appeared recently in the The Paris Review Daily.
