Salzburg is a picturesque city with a well-preserved Baroque center and breathtaking Alpine surroundings. Salzburg Global Seminar (SGS), an independent non-profit organization founded in 1947 with a mission to challenge current and future leaders to shape a better world. With a world-spanning network of 40,000 fellows, they have been at the forefront of global movements for change for 75 years, with significant impact on individuals, institutions, and systems.

In collaboration with the Salzburg Global Seminar, students participating in this trip will participate in a multi-day workshop to look at different approaches and strategies to better understand and measure social and environmental impacts of mission-driven organizations like SGS. As a project-driven trip, students will work in different functional areas to arrive at a set of strategic recommendations for SGS and for organizations attempting to measure and communicate their social and environmental impacts in an accurate, meaningful and truthful way. Students will also engage in the historic and cultural contexts of Salzburg as part of this trip, with free time and group cultural tours to explore the region.
