AUP Magazine Releases 60th Anniversary Issue

Home>News>

The 60th anniversary issue of the AUP Magazine is now available to enjoy both online and in print on AUP’s campus. The special-edition magazine, titled “We Are AUP,” celebrates 60 years of our global community. For six decades, AUP has been the only foreign-accredited, comprehensive American university on French soil. As we move forward into an exciting future, we’re asking AUP community members to reflect on what unites us across cultures, languages, disciplines and perspectives.

The articles in this issue of the AUP Magazine focus on people; they explore, through community stories, how we can continue to be impactful and responsive as a liberal arts university over the coming decades. The feature story, consisting of moving testimonials from AUP alumni, students and faculty, highlights common threads in how members of our diverse community define the University and its values. In the Class Notes section, community members past and present reflect on the impact that AUP has had on their own lives by finishing the sentence “AUP is...” with their personal take on what makes the University unique.

You’ll also find articles about AUP’s strategic plan and revised curriculum, spotlights on several accomplished alumni, and stories of current students’ projects and pathways. Other stories include a deep-dive into the design process on AUP’s new logo and an exploration of how the University’s revised first-year experience will soon be launching a new generation of global explorers on tailored personal and professional pathways.

Past issues of the AUP Magazine have focused, among other things, on the University’s campus redevelopment plan, on the meaningful careers of AUP alumni, and on the community response to the Covid-19 pandemic. You can find an archive of all past issues online here.

The Office of Communications is keen to hear the AUP community’s thoughts on this issue and the AUP Magazine as a whole. If you have any questions, suggestions or feedback, don’t hesitate to reach out to communicationsataup.edu.
