Experience AUP Athletics
Try out for our teams competing in leagues and tournaments, and enjoy sports in a structured and goal-oriented, but also cohesive, constructive and inclusive setting.
Team Offerings
Competitive Sports and Dance at AUP
At the American University of Paris, students can join competitive sports teams and represent AUP in tournaments and leagues across the Île-de-France region. Our teams compete against other universities and schools, offering a great opportunity to stay active, build team spirit, and engage with student life outside the classroom.
AUP currently offers three competitive teams:
Basketball: practices on Mondays from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Gymnase Ilôt-Saint-Germain (probably a second training on – waiting for the venue to confirm)
Futsal: practice on Mondays from 6:45 to 8:15 p.m. at Gymnase des Postillons
Women’s Volleyball: practice on Wednesdays 11 from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. and on Tuesdays from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m at Gymnase Rue Cler
Weekly training sessions begin in the second week of September.
Dance Company
The AUP Dance Company is open to dancers of all levels and backgrounds. The group performs a showcase at the end of each semester and takes part in a regional performance every two years.
Rehearsals begin the second week of September:
Mondays from from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the American Church
Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Combes
Sundays from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Combes 104
