Dr. Abir Labied holds a PhD in Management Science from Toulouse School of Management – University Toulouse Capitole, specializing in auditing, accounting, and management control. Her doctoral thesis investigated the financial auditing of climate-related risks and the audit expectation gap. Her research interests focus on the audit of sustainability and climate change risks, audit reporting models, key audit matters, the audit expectation gap, and the implications of emerging technologies like AI for the auditing profession. She has presented her research at leading international conferences including the American Accounting Association (AAA) and the Canadian Academic Accounting Association (CAAA) and has several forthcoming publications. In her teaching, she covers a range of subjects such as accounting, auditing, corporate finance, and management control at both undergraduate and master’s levels, in addition to supervising dissertations, internships and real-world business simulations.
