Learning Laboratory: Episode 7: Jaclyn Kennard Esq. on the Impact of Covid-19 on the Judicial System in the US

In the seventh episode of the Learning Laboratory video series, Jaclyn Kennard, a lawyer by training who now works in the Office of Admissions, examines the ways in which the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the judicial system and the legal profession in the United States. In this video, she discusses the implications of the justice system moving online, and the resulting issues that have followed – including constitutional issues and the ability to receive a fair trial.

About Jaclyn Kennard Esq.

Jaclyn Kennard is an experienced litigator and trial attorney licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia in the United States. Prior to joining AUP, she was a Senior Associate Attorney at The Hopkins Law Firm, PLLC in the Washington, D.C. area, where she litigated divorce, family, and criminal law cases. She has worked in the legal field for more than 15 years, including as a paralegal at several Washington, D.C. area law firms and as a Judge’s Clerk in the Fairfax County Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court. She has also volunteered as a mentor with the Fairfax Mentors Project, mentoring ‘at-risk’ juveniles in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Jaclyn is also currently an International Student Recruitment Counselor with AUP
