The FYI program and the French Department have teamed up to bring a traditional French celebration to the AUP community. They will be serving galettes des rois, or in English, Kings’ cakes, flaky puff pastry cakes stuffed with a sweet almond filling, along with chilled apple cider and apple juice. A figurine, la fève, which can represent anything from a car to a cartoon character, is hidden in the cake and the person who finds the trinket in their slice becomes king and queen for the evening! This event will be a delicious opportunity to kick off the Spring semester and get to know fellow incoming students.
