GPP5003 Designing Your Pitch

Please note that this workshop is exclusively for AUP Master’s students. Professionals use strong personal pitches as the foundation for strong applications and interviews. The process of developing a strong personal pitch demands that students think critically about what exactly they bring to the table. This process ultimately empowers them with a clear vision of who they are and the ability to sell that vision. This Designing Your Pitch workshop is available exclusively for current graduate students at AUP. During the course of the Designing Your Pitch (DYP) workshop, students will articulate a clear and specific short-term objective, they will learn some easy and effective techniques to identify their most relevant experience and to present those experiences with compelling ease, and they will develop and get feedback on a personal pitch. Students who participate in this workshop will be invited to present at the Graduate Pitch Soiree (held periodically), where their peers, faculty and staff will come to offer support and feedback. The DYP workshop and Graduate Pitch Soiree gives students the confidence and tools needed to be successful in their post-AUP lives.
