Transfer to Study in Paris

Every year, AUP welcomes around 100 transfer students from a wide variety of backgrounds, with different life experiences, interests and ambitions. Transfer students provide unique perspectives that enrich our already culturally diverse and internationally-minded learning community

If you have completed at least one semester (12 credits) at another college or university, we invite you to apply to AUP as a transfer applicant.

At AUP, you have the opportunity to design your unique learning journey. Small classes, hands-on teaching, and close faculty mentorship allow you to focus on your intellectual and professional development. We blend traditional liberal arts with a deep understanding of today’s international workplaces, preparing you for life after graduation with critical thinking, effective writing, digital literacy and problem-solving skills.  

AUP offers 27 bachelor’s degrees and more than 30 minors in subjects ranging from psychology and international business to film studies and environmental science. 

We are a transfer-friendly university and encourage students looking to change institutions to consider AUP. Transfer credits are accepted from accredited or nationally recognized universities and other institutions of higher education, including community colleges. You may transfer up to 64 credits (two years of study) for classes where you earned a “C” or higher.  Where possible, a Transfer Credit Evaluation is conducted at the point of application to determine your education pathway at AUP. 

Financial aid is available to all transfer students, based on their initial application as well as a needs-based financial aid assessment. 

Our central Paris campus gives you easy access to some of the city’s most famous landmarks—including the Eiffel Tower and Musée d’Orsay. As you walk between our seven recently refurbished buildings, you’ll experience a vibrant Parisian neighborhood full of people, shops and cafés. Immersing yourself in the local community will teach you flexibility and adaptability—skills that will help you live and work anywhere.
